You and I sit upon the rocky ledge, overlooking the sea as its waves lap up and down against the crags below. Up above us, the sun is ending its descent through the western sky. At that moment, a fiery glow illuminates the sky, before it is soon veiled by the black wings of night. This moment is known to many as the Hour of Twilight, but for me, it is the Hour of Beauty.

It is at this moment, that your omnipotent beauty shines the brightest. The sky is “alive”, mixed with both the dwindling light of the daytime sun, and the growing twinkling of the night stars. I lean towards you, and you do the same.

We gaze at one another, our faces softly illuminated by the gentle light above. I rest my hand upon your cheek, and you lay yours upon mine. We lean head to head, silhouetted against the twilit sky. The gentle breeze flows by, carrying our love with it to the heavens above. As your auburn strands sway through the breeze, I gently caress my fingers through them.

The sun meanwhile sinks deeper into the sky, setting the sea ablaze in a fiery glow. Standing up, the two of us now hold hands as our shadows are cast along the cliff. I can feel the comfort of your palms gracing my own. I pray that this moment will never end. As long as we are together, I’m in eternal bliss.

In this hour, the warming spirits of the day begin their slumber, as the mysterious spirits of night begin to roam our world. It seems so clear to me now why this hour is your finest. Your beauty has both nurturing warmth, and a mysterious shadowy allure. With them both, you can be nothing less than a Goddess of this moment we call twilight.

Tears begin to fall down my face, as I continue gazing into your magnificent eyes, and feeling their comforting glow. You wipe them away, and smile at me as you do so. This moment of twilight has always held a serene beauty all its own, but I feel that with you, that beauty is transformed into heavenly radiance.

Watching the sun continue its descent, listening to the sounds of the waves and the wind, and looking at your great beauty, makes my heart sing with joy and my soul come alive. We move even closer, and our lips slowly move towards one another. Finally, our lips embrace, and we stand together kissing upon the twilit cliff.

We now slowly walk side by side, hand in hand, down the small cliff side until coming to a small sandy beach at the bottom. Once there, we continue gazing upon the fiery orange waters, seeing the sea seemingly stretch outwards forever into the twilight-graced horizon.

Still holding hands, we fall down onto the soft sand, both looking straight up into the darkening sky. As we do, love and lust begin flowing through our veins and hearts. We firmly embrace each other, and roll about in the sands. I remove your cloak as we do so and slowly move slide my arms down your bare backside.

The slowly moving waves just reach us, the warm waters calming our arms and legs. Now, my entire soul is truly at peace, and my heart is truly in love. As we continue in our deep affection, the light continues to slowly fade, and the “fire” upon the water of the sea begins to die, slowly fading into an inky blackness.

This Hour of Twilight is slowly coming to its end. I feel sorrow at first, but then I feel rejuvenated, knowing that I will always love you be it in twilight, under the starlit sky of night, or in the soothing light of day.

As the once fiery sun has now fallen behind the horizon, the sky turns black, speckled with the glittering stars, and soothingly illuminated by the beautiful full moon. As the seeds of sleep begin to shower upon us both, we firmly wrap our arms around each other one last time, and in our loving embrace, we fall asleep upon the beach.
